Tres Chicas Books is a collaborative press founded in 2003 by three New Mexico poets: Miriam Sagan, Renée Gregorio, and Joan Logghe. Their agreed upon goal was to publish three books a year beginning in 2005 while keeping things a pleasure and low key. With complimentary skills and a committment to help each other with editing, layout, publicity, and support, they meet for lunch when business needs tending.
A firm believer of growing art in a peer situation, Tres Chicas Books is modeled after Alice James Books, with a nod to the Beats, Gertrude Stein, and Virginia Woolf.
Since there are politics in art, and publishing is no exception, why not make it the politics of friendship and comadres? Welcome to Tres Chicas Books.
